The False Self
Once you realize that the story of who you believe yourself to be is merely a fabrication of mind, the world then becomes much less personal, vexing and irritating.
Your story of self is the very thing that stands between you and your happiness.
It's time to let it go.
Your true self is beyond any concept of limiting thought, opinion, or belief.
Your true self is your underlying awareness that perceives all objects of mind, emotion, body, and sensory experience—but it is not the perceptions themselves.
When you become aware of your own awareness, you also distance yourself from the limiting story you've mistaken yourself for, so that happiness can finally return, unlimited and unbound.
