Let Me Sit With It

So the practice is this is to allow yourself to pause before you "project". By allowing ourselves to first sit with it, we are attuning within into see what comes up for us around their request?

So the practice is this is to allow yourself to pause before you "project". By allowing ourselves to first sit with it, we are attuning within into see what comes up for us around their request? Are we triggered in any way? Do we have judgement around it?

In that space we are also creating a teaching moment for our children to learn what it looks like to listen to our inner voice. In doing so, they in turn will "sit with their feelings" as we model before them what it looks like. We can also then inspire them through asking the question back to them when they feel unsure around making a decision ... Saying "why don't you sit with it and see how it feels for you". That's how we begin to deepen our connection personally and with your children.
